The term ‘Yes man’ is never used in a complimentary fashion, but it definitely applies to Chris Morrow of Silicon Labs.
Chris is a founding Code2College volunteer and started working with us as software engineer who who had a sincere desire to change the lives of students who lacked access to pursue STEM careers.
Chris jumped in headfirst as an Instructor, leaving work early two days every week to teach students how to code.
When asked if he would help develop a case competition to introduce students to the Semiconductor industry. He said Yes. It has since become our exemplar case competition.
When asked if he would join the Code2College Volunteer Advisory Board. He said Yes. He’s now working on revamping the C2C Volunteer experience to improve overall volunteer engagement and student support.
Chris has a seemingly boundless capacity for service and we owe a great deal of our programmatic success to him. Thank you, Chris!
Oh, and in this picture, Amelle (one of our C2C alumni and Summer 2018 interns) is giving Chris an award for ‘Most Valuable Instructor’ at Pflugerville High School for the 2018-19 school year. Is that really a surprise?
