A Glimmer of Hope Foundation awards $50,000 to support growth of Code2College

At the close of our first year of programming, A Glimmer of Hope Foundation engaged with Code2College and after performing standard due diligence awarded us a seed grant of $20,000. At the time, this was the largest single grant we had received and it helped our organization scale from serving 30 students in our initial pilot to 120 students that following year.

Fast forward two years and in anticipation of serving 700 students this year and scaling nationally next year, A Glimmer of Hope Foundation has just awarded Code2College a $50,000 growth grant to further scale our efforts.

“Once again, A Glimmer of Hope Foundation has provided critical grant funds that will help us serve hundreds more students in Central Texas and provide life-changing opportunities in STEM, from after-school coding education to paid, technical summer internships” shared Matt Stephenson, Executive Director of Code2College.

In only three years, Code2College has scaled exponentially and plans to use these funds to support program refinement and additions including its newest curriculum which focuses on the intersection of Civics and Technology, as well as new internship focus areas.
